about

“It is not more surprising to be born twice than once; everything in nature is resurrection.” -----Voltaire

Dr. Tucker is the Bonner-Lowry Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia. He is continuing the work of Dr. Ian Stevenson at the UVA Division of Perceptual Studies with children who report memories of previous lives. A board-certified child psychiatrist, Dr. Tucker was raised Southern Baptist and had never seriously considered the idea of reincarnation before reading one of Dr. Stevenson’s books. He worked with Dr. Stevenson for several years before taking over the research upon Stevenson’s retirement in 2002.

Many of the children involved in this research have been from India, Asia, and other cultures where the possibility of reincarnation is taken seriously. But in Return to Life, Dr. Tucker focuses exclusively on American cases. The book details his experiences as he traveled the country to meet these children and their families, and research the details in their stories.

In this interview, Dr. Tucker talks about his research and his book Return to Life, and the possibility that the material world arises from a continuous field of consciousness.

Deepak Chopra calls Tucker’s book “an important milestone of an emerging scientific paradigm” and I think you’re going to find this fascinating.
